Cornerways Residential Care
Cornerway’s Residential Care Home is a privately owned care home under Merryhill Care providing care for elderly people who require personal assistance with day to day tasks, such as help with: Bathing, dressing, taking medication and going to the toilet. Additionally, we also provide our residents with a safe and healthy living environment ensuring onsite maintenance & security, habitual cleanliness, good hygiene, healthy meals and treats, indoor and outdoor leisure, activities, events, and entertainment.
The majority of residents that we have placed in our home have come through recommendation or through personal choice due to our exemplary care home ethics and facilities or to be within a short distance from friends and family, or to be near to the sea in beautiful Hythe, Kent.
Cornerways Residential is arranged over 3 floors with 20 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, dining area and garden and onsite facilities such as wheelchair access, bath & shower rooms, toilets, and lifts and stair lifts. We often have a waiting list of residents to come into our care home, but we always try to place and accommodate senior individuals or couples where and when we can, and as best we can.
Resident Manager
Alongside daily managerial tasks, our resident manager conducts regular resident meetings to provide individuals with the opportunity to raise any concerns or highlight good care. She also supports their choices of meals, events and activities that the residents would want to get involved in as well as every aspect of their care. Doing this helps ensure that all residents are being listened to and their needs and requirements are attended too quickly and effectively.
Staff and Carers
Cornerways Residential is operational 24 hours a day with permanent staff and carers. This way every member of our care team gets to know every person in our residency and offers them the support and care they need, on a more personalized level as they become genuine friends.
Our Residents
Our residential care home is comprised of older adults and elderly people. For every person that comes into our care, we ensure to provide a happy home with a responsive lifestyle on a permanent long-term or short-term basis depending on their personal circumstances and the type of care that they require. All our residents are treated with well-deserved dignity and respect and they have access to community health services such as the opticians or their own personal GP or district nurse as and when needed. Our residents are happy and responsive and make vast improvements in their general health and wellbeing which we have seen first-hand many times, with friends and family members of residents also having witnessed or observed the positive changes.
